What is Wings, Cacao & Wilderness- Nature Retreat
Wings, Cacao & Wild is a small-group retreat designed around contemplative elements — mindful birding, cacao immersion, activating our primary senses through wilderness — while reconnecting with our inner calling!
It is a retreat where forest is the point, and stillness follows!

Wings – Mindful Birding
Guided nature walks where you will experience the healing it can bring into your life. It is more than just the checklist of species. Starting with the basics in Sparrow Wood’s very own backyard, we will head out to the stream as the evening light softens.

Wild – A day in the Forest
Imagine yourself having no access to modern-day amenities; that’s exactly what the day would look like! Find water, gather wood, light up the fire the old way, cook over a wood-fired stove (chulha) built by hand. All of it supervised, guided and safe!

Cacao – Oona Immersion
A facilitated four-hour session with team Oona pairs you with the forest around you. In the Cacao immersion, we will explore cacao beyond chocolate. Through slow sipping, silence, and gentle prompts, participants ease into a meditative state.

Stillness – Nature Journaling
Where does your quiet live? Reflect in unique ways, nature journaling being one of them! Observe, listen and journal with guided prompts and time spent with your inner self. Explore and rekindle the calm within and around. Leave as a new you!

Meet Your Hosts
Paras and Shruthi run Sparrow Woods Eco-Resort. They also indulge in nature/conservation filmmaking, facilitating nature-based learning and education, and bringing forward narratives from communities and areas that need to be heard and seen. Shruthi and Paras are also tourism graduates who have curated their offerings to be sustainable and responsible in nature. They believe in offering experiences that respect the capacity of nature and community, rather than purely exploiting our resources for profit motives.
Prachi and Sai describe themselves as “Oona,” which means “the one” or “universal”. They create cacao-based products and experiences. They take these experiences as an opportunity to share the calming, joyful, relaxing effects of cacao and use these effects of cacao for further inner exploration through various activities like forest immersion, guided visualization, journaling, art-based expression etc.
